The Experience
Our Step-by-Step Casting Process

Preparation
It's best if you wear old clothes on the day, as the wrapping can get quite messy and drip. A sports bra & comfy pants/tights works well (some women prefer no bra, and that's perfectly fine too!) We begin by preparing your skin surface, using a light layer of vaseline on your hips and torso outline to prevent sticking. We can also wrap your bump in glad wrap if you'd rather not get as messy.

The Casting Process
Using high-quality, skin-safe plaster bandage, we gently capture the unique contours of your bump. The process is reasonably quick, taking only 15-20 minutes in total from start to finish. We'll discuss your preferred inclusions and final finish as we go to ensure the result is exactly as you envisioned.

Refining & Strengthening
Once it's set, we'll give it a wiggle and remove it. From there, we finalise your options and take your cast to the workshop area. Here, we finalise the shape & strengthen it from the inside. Depending on your chosen finish, we meticulously hand-smooth the surface to prepare it for its completion.

The Final Reveal
Your finished bump is ready for collection. Whether you chose a raw natural look, an intricate painted design, or a wrapped finish, it is now a timeless preservation of your motherhood journey.
